Render of a concept carbon fiber box for the Lebron XI "Miami Nights" edition

- Embossed XI script and logos
- Wooden box enclosure
- Exclusive Legend of a king content on a USB
- Exclusive Gundam nights action figure
First of all let me start off saying that I love the color
way of this sneaker. The color blocking along with the carbon fiber on the armor
looks amazing and as far as the fit goes, this has to be one of the most
comfortable shoes I’ve owned. Now with
that being said I live in Canada and these set me back about (GASP) $280 after
tax!
After purchasing these and UN-boxing them I said to myself…
"Damn not even a poster?" I understand business
and I understand that this shoe is ground breaking and I know the cost of
materials have gone up, but where are the added values for the customer? No DVD? (Thank YouTube for that I guess.) No
EXCLUSIVE key chain? No coupons for a back rub? No fancy pamphlet breaking down the tech of the shoe? No player card? There are so many things that
they could’ve thrown in to this to justify such a hefty price tag and to make
me feel better about myself for spending so much money.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if they came
in a nice collector’s box? Imagine
removing the glossy carbon fiber lid off of your wooden (or recycled
material) box that enclosed your sneakers revealing your expensive investment protected by sponge padding and right below
it included is a USB memory stick with some sort of exclusive content (and
exclusive Lebron James workout video, a
password for some extra online stuff , a special APP, SOMETHING.) Throw in a custom action figure to go with the “THEME”
of the shoe and Voila! Value added! Haha of course this Idea is ridiculous to
most but we already spend hundreds on shoes and on other things we don’t need
so why not?
